Adam Cope has been writing for as long as he can remember.
Originally the writing was done in his head as he had not always had access to a method of putting his thoughts down on paper. For many years, Adam had no means of communication and his thoughts and ideas were locked inside his head. As soon as he was able to, he wrote many poems expressing how he felt about life, love and current affairs.
When he started to write, it was empowering. With words Adam is able to create metaphoric places and feelings which come alive and sing their own song. Each song takes a new slant when viewed through the lens of words. Poetry allows Adam to write down his thoughts and dreams. Adam finds poetry easier to use as he can struggle to complete long phrases due to his difficultly in communicating. Short phrases allow him to create words that have worth, with each word standing strong on its own.
Adam has published three books, ‘Windows’, ‘Colours’ and ‘Life’.
